Jon Rahm Got Support Of Mickelson

April 30, 2017

Just like a gambler, the golfer Phil Mickelson does not like to be in bookmakers’ agreement always. But, now when it comes to player Jon Rahm, Mickelson could not help himself.

Mickelson strongly believes that the young player is great and he deserves his status of the player. He should get rid of the word Masters Debutante.

It has been 40 years since the player Fuzzy Zoeller became the only and the last player to win the event Augusta major at the first time of asking. However, after the brush of Rahm with glory on Sunday at the WGC Dell Match Play, his Augusta odds have fallen down to an exceptional low.

At the Arizona state, Phil Mickelson had made a name as the reigning U.S Amateur and an NCAA champion.

Most recently, he had gone home with a win in the PGA Tour event in Tucson, and was to play in the Masters soon enough.

Young Phil had called up Arnold Palmer, asking if they could play a practice round together. Till date, he still cherishes the impact made by Palmer on him at Augusta that weekend.

And recently, Golf Digest, in collaboration with the Monterrey Peninsula Foundation decided to honor Mickelson with the Arnie award, considering his several acts of kindness, as one of their Golfers Who Give Back.

During Mickelson’s 25 years on tour, some of his acts of kindness were quite noticeable’ tipping extras to the locker room attendants, handing a ball to a kid, and signing a glove or ticking in a little cash.

He has also been instrumental in mentoring several young tour players such as Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson. Mickelson, speaking about Arnold, had said,

“I know how good Arnold made me feel that day at the Masters,”

“I was nervous and didn’t feel like I belonged, but he made sure I felt like part of the club – the way he put his arm around me, told me stories and invited me to join him for lunch.

Bad news for Mickelson’s fans- the great golfer has confirmed not to participate at the prestigious Cadillac World Golf Championship Match Play.

Caddie Jim confirmed the previous week that Phil was quite stirred up regarding the tournament and hence the player’s latest decision to withdraw has left many flummoxed and disappointed- it’s always a treat to watch Mickelson in action.

Mickelson, too, sounded very disappointed about his withdrawal from the WGC event, something that he was so passionate about. He has usually missed out on match-play event from 2011 as the dates clashed with his kids’ school breaks. Besides, he did not like the erstwhile backdrop Dove Mountain. But as 2015 made a change to both these factors, Phil was really eager to play this time.

“I am really glad with the latest format & TPC Harding Park seems to be a fantastic backdrop for the match play. Thus, it is really very unfortunate that I would not be capable to play this great event this year”, remarked a disappointed Mickelson.

January 21, 2015

Maverick golfer Phil Mickelson failed to win a single tournament in 2013/14, the first time something like this has happened since 2003.

As a result, Lefty dived into a very serious fitness and diet regimen over the winter off season as he looks to bounce back immediately and get back to his best. Sean Cochran, the veteran’s trainer said that he was following the paleo diet which is absolutely gluten free and has no sugars and processed foods.

He added that he believes that this is how humans have been designed to eat. He mentioned that one can think about how a packaged food can have a shelf life of five years and that cannot be good for any human, let alone a professional athlete.
