Phil Mickelson Take Help Of Doctor To Improve Energy And Focus

October 8, 2017

Phil Mickelson missed cut at the PGA Championship last month, this was his fourth in the previous eight majors.

But, after this Mickelson is unable to take it anymore and to overcome with the issue, he met with his doctor. He met the same doctor who in 2010 helped him get overcome with the problem of psoriatic arthritis, which he diagnosed earlier.

This time, Mickelson needs the help of his doctor for a different thing, he has been struggling with energy and focus and he is looking for the assistance for the same.

In the first and the opening round of the Dell Technologies Championship (DTC), he made three birdies and only one bogey en route to a two-under 69, where he trails Dustin Johnson by three strokes.

Mickelson said “All through the time, this is the time when I had the best focus and energy. I am very disappointed with my short game. The problem that I am facing is I am unable to visualize the shot that I am trying to hit. And today, after a long time, I am again feeling the old me in me. I am able to envisage the shot.  So, it is a good day for me, especially around the greens.”

On Friday, Mickelson got up-and-down five of six times, and this includes on the 15th as well after he leave his approach shot on the par 4, and at the par-5 seventh to make one of his three birdies.

The team of the Presidents Cup will soon get finalized and on the 18th in the standings, Mickelson is in the position on the outside looking in. Since 1914, Mickelson has been the part of every U.S. team, and a good play throughout the week in this week would certainly make it easier for Captain Steve Stricker in picking his two captains.
